Thought to Action #BlogFlash2012 Day 1

This is the first post in a 30 day blogging challenge, BlogFlash2012 being hosted by Terri Giuliano Long. Each day in August, I'll be posting a short post inspired by the daily writing prompt. Please sign up and join us! I can't wait to visit other participating blogs and see what creativity emerges.

Success begins with a thought, an idea, a dream. But to turn that thought into reality requires action. It is not enough to think, to dream. In order to be successful, we must also do. I love the current A T & T commercial with Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte which emphasizes this point. He states that he didn’t hope, wish, or buy his way to the London Olympics. He swam there. He turned his dream into reality through hard work and action.

Our thoughts determine the direction of our lives as they dictate our actions. For my life to be the way I envision it should be, I must change my thinking. I must move from “I want to” to “I AM” and move from idea to action. Only then will my dreams have even a chance at becoming my reality.
