She felt the pull of the forest even as she was driving. The road was narrow and the trees formed a canopy overhead. The leaves blocked out the sun only allowing small patches of light to filter through. She wished she could pull the car over and take a moment to breathe the earthy air. A moment just to enjoy the quiet enhanced with the sounds of nature. Her thoughts drifted outside even as she continued toward her meeting in the city.

We get so busy don't we? I love your sentiments in this piece, I wish I had more time to take it all in and enjoy what's out there!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful description of the forest and the pull it has for her; it's sad that she can't spare not even a moment but at least she noticed it in her busy day. xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely description and imagery. You can really feel the pull it has for her and her desire to reconnect with nature. Great post, Angela.
ReplyDeleteI am often "pulled" the same way. It's good to see others with the same inclinations.
ReplyDeleteGreat piece, Angela! I often feel this pull and the need to break away for a walk and some fresh air. Sometimes you just have to give in to temptation!
