Fall is coming and in our house that means football season. Pre-season NFL games have already started and we've seen both the Detroit Lions and the Indianapolis Colts play. When the Sunday games start, I know the TV will be on from early afternoon until late at night with all the game coverage. The living room will become a mobile office as my husband sets up with his laptop to run reports or catch up on email while he watches the game. I'm guessing I will be hearing complaints from Elizabeth as she will want to watch her shows but maybe we can keep er occupied with her LeapPad.
I'm not a huge football fan but I've been exposed to it enough over the last several years that I can recognize player names and occasionally come up with some bit of information that my husband and father-in-law are surprised that I know. I'm not sure how well I'll do with that this year as the Colts had a mass exodus of players and the names familiar to me are mostly gone. This year I'm looking forward to using football season as an excuse to try some of the recipes I've been pinning on Pinterest!

Angela, your post is one that many football-wives can relate to, but I'm giving you a 'Secret Weapon.' I'm bestowing a super-secret, super-crispy chicken wing recipe. Try it; they will love you for it! Shush; keep it to yourself! http://donnalsadd.wordpress.com/2012/02/02/super-crispy-superbowl-chicken-wings/
ReplyDeleteThankfully, that's not something I have to tolerate in my house! I do sympathise with you. Hopefully while hubby is engrossed in his football, it'll give you more time to do what you want!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the Pinterest link. I'm such a foodie - I'll be looking to try some of those recipes myself!
